Western Union No Longer Sends Telegrams
Wow – the end of an era:
From the Western Union site: Effective January 27, 2006, Western Union will discontinue all Telegram and Commercial Messaging services. We regret any inconvenience this may cause you, and we thank you for your loyal patronage.

ING Direct: This time, its “get a birthday present”
When I see an email from my bank that has, in its subject line, “Get…a January birthday present”, I immediately think on what it is that banks do: namely, handle MONEY. “Yippeee!” I think to myself. “ING Direct has deposited $5 or maybe even $10 into my account!”

The L Word – Season 3 is about to start
