Some good music I heard about in Portland – Menomena

Why statistics are my favorite form of maths

With the recent snow storms happening all over, I thought this was an interesting statistic to share:

96% of Americans say “Oh Shit!” before going into the ditch on a slippery road.

The other 4% are from Minnesota, Michigan, or Wisconsin and they say, “Hold my beer and watch this shit.”

Toward a grammatically sound X-mas

Tintinnabula is the plural of tintinnabulum – a small tinkling bell. Tintinnabulum has a corresponding adjective: tintinnabulary. The adjective form is more common than the noun and means “of or relating to bells or their sounds,” as in “Quake Gives West Texas a Tintinnabulary Time.”
