Crafts Americana Group corporate site
launched 2002

Role:

Graphic Designer
Web Designer

Project Brief:

A simple and straightforward piece of brochureware.

Project Mission:

Let each brand "breathe" on its own while still retaining corporate character.

ArtistsClub.com
launched 1999, redesigned in 2001

Role:

HTML Programmer
Visual Designer
Information Designer
Usability/Compatibility Tester

Project Brief:

Transform our successful catalog business into a dynamic online presence.

Project Mission:

Pages must be quick-loading while providing the kind of features our customers were most interested in: large images of the books (including interior pages), large inventory of products, and free project patterns and weekly drawings (which helped to drive traffic to the site in between catalog drops).

ConnectingThreads.com
launched 2000

Role:

HTML Programmer
Visual Designer
Information Designer
Usability/Compatibility Tester

Project Brief:

Use online presence to access new demographic of quilters.

Project Mission:

We started with the standards of ArtistsClub.com (small page size and lots of information about books) while also building our fledgling fabric business. Since the cost of "retail space" is a non-issue on the web compared to a printed catalog, we effectively drove business to the web by using the catalog as a teaser. A very popular feature on this website is the "Design Table", where users can select different fabrics and see how they look in proximity to each other.
